European Rental Awards: submit your entry now

Rental companies and equipment manufacturers have until this Friday (26 March) to submit entries for this year's European Rental Awards.

Award entry forms can be downloaded from www.khl.com/rentalawards and entries should be submitted by e-mail to Murray Pollok, Editor of IRN (murray.pollok@khl.com).

The awards are jointly organised by International Rental News and the European Rental Association (ERA), and the four award categories are as follows:

Rental Company of the Year (10 depots or more)

• Rental Company of the Year (under 10 depots)

• Rental Product of the Year (launched during 2009)

• Rental Person of the Year

In addition, the judging panel (see below) may make a special nomination for an ERA/IRN Lifetime Achievement Award.

The awards dinner will be held in Prague, the Czech Republic, on 26 May during the European Rental Association's annual convention.

The awards are open to any company operating in Europe, and entrants do not have to be members of ERA.

The judging panel for the awards is as follows:

Pierre Boels, Boels Verhuur
Managing Director of Boels Verhuur in the Netherlands and one of the most respected rental managers in Europe.

Gérard Déprez, Loxam
Chief executive officer of Loxam, Europe's biggest rental company, and founding President of the ERA.

Michel Petitjean, ERA
Secretary General of the ETA and also a long-time rental executive with experience of both the European and US rental markets.

Murray Pollok, KHL Group
Editor of International Rental News (IRN) magazine and a journalist with KHL Group for 16 years.

Dirk Stukkens, Komatsu Europe
A 22-year veteran with Komatsu Europe International and the company's General Manager Major Accounts. Mr Stukkens was also managing director of Komatsu France at a time when it owned the rental business Relmat.
