Double drop trailer from Landoll

Landoll Corporation in the USA has designed and built a double-drop travelling axle trailer to transport a range of oversize and over-height equipment. Typical loads may include motor coaches, metro buses, front end loaders and tall mast forklifts.

The Model 353 has full hydraulic manual controls and full function wireless remote hand-held controls, says the company. Loaded deck height is 26 feet (7.9 m) and company says it has set a record with a low load angle of 5 degrees.

The Model 353 has 50,000 pound (22.7 tonne) outriggers which can raise the trailer deck and also side shift the trailer to align the bus or equipment being loaded onto the trailer. Two sets of aluminium ramps are included as is a mechanical "well lift system" which is adjustable to different load carrying heights. The Model 353 is designed with no cylinders on the undercarriage, reducing the overall height of the deck, says the company. The undercarriage cam bearings roll on top of the flange to eliminate damage to the trailer frame.

Standard equipment includes a centralised lubrication system, Grote wiring harness and LED lights.
