CP Sanghvi signs an order with Terex Cranes for 12 new heavy lift crawler cranes

Indian crane rental company Sanghvi Movers Ltd has signed one of the largest crawler crane orders in recent years with Terex Cranes.

The 12-unit order is for four 1,600 tonne capacity CC 8800-1 heavy lift crawlers and eight 600 tonne capacity CC 2800-1 cranes.

"We have selected the best partners and in any partnership, when both partners feel that they are both winners, then nothing could be better," said Chandrakant Sanghvi, Sanghvi Movers chairman and managing director. "I also thank the teams on both sides."

"For us, this is an exciting step forward into the Indian crane market," said Thomas Hartmann, sales director at Terex Cranes in Zweibrücken, Germany where the cranes will be manufactured. Delivery is provisionally scheduled to start in late 2011 and finish in the third quarter of 2013.

Sanghvi Movers Ltd has a fleet of 360 telescopic and lattice boom cranes to 800 tonnes capacity. It is in the top 10 of the International Cranes and Specialized Transport magazine IC50 ranking of the world's largest crane rental companies, June 2010.
