At the evening event at Vertikal Days generous donations from UK and Norwegian manufacturers and rental companies raised around £6000 for the Lighthouse Club Benevolent Fund.

The money was mostly raised by auctioning six bicycles, which will be used to raise more money for charity in a sponsored ride from Scotland to Cornwall.

Conducting the auction for the third year running and encouraging others to put their hands in their pockets while cleverly avoiding doing so himself was Martin Davies the managing director of Thermoil and EPW. Mr Davies managed to extract nearly £6000 from a very generous audience.
