Netherlands-based Hovago Cranes has purchased its 30th unit of Kobelco's 250 tonne capacity CKE 2500G crawler crane.

The handover was in a sake ceremony at the Bauma Munich 2013 exhibition in Germany.

The crawler was presented to president and founder of Hovago, Doron Livnat, by Koji Yumura, director and executive senior operating officer at the global sales and marketing division of Kobelco Cranes.

Commenting on the latest acquisition, Livnat said, “The CKE 2500G will be used for general purposes, such as in refineries and various global projects. Our fleet includes 200 cranes, of which 30 units are this crawler crane. It is an economic crane and has been used in artic environments to projects in Sudan and Saudi Arabia. All the time we have used the machines we have ordered zero spare parts, just oil and filters. This reflects the Kobelco quality.”

The first job for the newest CKE 2500G will be in Europe, where the crane will work on an industrial project.
