Italian crane manufacturer Raimondi reported strong sales from April's Bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany.

At the April exhibition the tower crane manufacturer displayed its MRT144, which has an 8 tonne single reeving system and a gearless hoisting motor. The crane was sold to a Mr Teixeira of Interkran, a dealer for Switzerland. Also sold was an MRT111, acquired by a Mr Ibrahimiye of Akem Group, a Raimondi dealer in Turkey.

Other cranes that were sold included six more MRT111s, ten MRT144s, two MRT223s and three MRT294s, all of which were ordered by Interkran, the manufacturer said. Akem Group ordered seven MRT144s and eleven MRT111s. Four MRT111s were ordered by JRM and five MRT111s were sold to a Saudi Arabian client, the manfacturer continued.

During the show the company also gained two new representatives: Promech Resources, which will be responsible for Thailand and JRM, responsible for Morocco.
