German hoist manufacturer Geda has its recently launched 500 Z/ZP SL transport platform assisting in the build of a five-storey apartment complex in Malmö, Sweden.

Two Geda Multilift P12 devices are also supporting construction work at the 15,000 m2 site in Lomma, which will include 66 apartments and retail space when completed.

The new Geda 500 Z/ZP SL was sent to Sweden straight after its appearance at the Bauma exhibition in Munich. The construction hoist has a load capacity of up to 850 kg or can be used as a transport platform for a maximum of five people and materials up to 500 kg.

The transport platform is supported by two Geda Multilift P12 lifts, which have a lift capacity of 1500 kg and/or 12 people with a hoisting speed of 24/40 m/min upwards and downwards.

The different storeys of the apartment building can all be easily reached with the two lifts. The assembly height in Lomma is 15 m but the lift can generally be built up to a lifting height of 150 m.

The Geda units were chosen by Allbygg AB, the construction company responsible for the provision of the onsite height access technology. The hoists are on hire from rental company Lyft & Byggmaskiner.
