AFI has appointed Carlo Vinci to the newly created position of customer service director.

Mr Vinci, who has over 30 years experience in the powered access industry, joined AFI as midlands regional manager 10 years ago. When AFI acquired Hi-Reach in 2013 he took on the role of integrating it into the AFI business, and he became customer service manager about a year ago.

Mr Vinci said, “Our aim is to put the customer at the heart of everything that we do and my appointment is the latest in a series of initiatives to meet that goal. For example, we have joined the Institute of Customer Service and have carried out surveys to gain an understanding of where we currently are in terms of customer satisfaction. The survey results are very promising and give us a good base from which we can build.

“We have also sought feedback from our employees on how we can further improve customer service and have implemented staff training programmes, held roadshows and have developed a customer charter,” he added.
