Sany shows latest truck crane

Sany is showing the 75 tonne capacity STC750A truck crane, which was launched earlier in 2015, at the BICES exhibition at Beijing.

The new crane features a 47 m telescopic main boom with a 17.5 m fly jib for a maximum hook height of 64.7 m. The machine has a top speed of 80 km/h.

According to Mr Wu, deputy dean of Sany’s mobile crane institute, the 75 tonne unit is proving popular, as it provides a cheaper alternative but a similar capacity to 80 tonne cranes. He also said that the four-axle design provided improved manoeuvrability. “The 75 tonne class seems to be popular,” he said.

The crane has been designed with both the Chinese and Sany’s export markets in mind, and Mr Wu said that several cranes had been sold in Brazil earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Jiwen Peng, Sany’s director of R&D for crawler cranes, said the company was updating its range of E-series small to medium sizes of crawler cranes and A-series heavy lifters. He said Sany was focussing on faster set-up times, ease of transportation and enhanced lifting capacities.
