Mantis Access, trading under Mantis Cranes, has delivered a Comet 21-2-9 on a Yanmar C50R-3B tracked chassis to UK-based specialist vehicle hire company 2Rent.

The machine has a number of features available uniquely from Mantis Access including a demountable option, boxed deck carrier and anti-collision limiting devices.

Low pressure hydraulic controls allow for accurate positioning and the platform is powered by an independent hydraulic system which eliminates oil contamination from the carrier. There are other features including an electronic basket load limiter and a mechanical outreach limit.

The new machine went straight to work on a project to service a 132kv Trident over line contract.
