Canton Erectors tackles flagpole lift

Ohio, USA-based rigging and heavy haul transport company Canton Erectors used a National Crane NBT45 loader crane to erect a series of flagpoles at the Pro Football Hall of Fame located in Canton, Ohio.
The manufacturer is the loader crane division of Manitowoc.
Brian Selinsky, owner of Canton Erectors, said that the NBT45 was chosen for its ability to fit on a job site where there was not much room for outrigger placement.
The 45 US ton (40.1 tonnes) capacity loader crane lifted three 66 feet (20.1 metres) tall flagpoles, which weighed between 0.3 US tons (0.27 tonnes) and 0.35 US tons (0.32 tonnes), to a height of 50 ft (15.2 m) for the job. The crane’s ground level and in cab outrigger controls enabled quick and easy set up, the company said.
The project was completed in less than six hours in June of 2016.
