Hoist 2

XL Industries has introduced a new hoist system for shafts.

The Top Down Hoist provides access to underground works, for example metro projects and other tunnel-related work, from the start of the process.

The bracket at the top of a shaft, leading to the work area, is enough to support 50m of hanging mast, attached to the wall in 6m sections with supporting ties, plus the car. Once 50m is reached, another support is installed for the next 50m. Mast sections can be installed from inside the car by the operator using a slide out and easy connection system.

The XE5 and XML series hoists are designed for the for the Top Down system and can be customised for specific projects. In the XE series, the TD5 and TD10 can carry 500kg or 1000kg, respectively and have a 36m/min speed. Their dimensions are 1.4m x 1.4m and 2.3 x 1.5m respectively. The larger XML series, M13 and M22 models, has capacities of 300kg and 1000kg respectively.

Another advantage of the Top Down  hoist system is that space can be left at the bottom of the mast, allowing workers to pass underneath, rather than it taking up valuable space. It can also be grounded.

The hoists are installed with overload sensors, overspeed safety brake and patented anti-disengagement drive.
