Dierkes is a trained agricultural machinery mechanic and control engineer, and prior to joining Hatz he was Service Director of Körber Mediapark Systems’ Machinery business unit. Before that, he was Executive Vice President of Service and Solutions at Winkler + Dünnebier Neuwied.

Dierkes said, “Services are still classically technical in many parts of the engine and machine industry. But the world around us is changing. Today and in the future, manufacturers and operators of machines need services that go far beyond the classic support for engines. The digital revolution, Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things are just a couple of examples that demand completely new service concepts. Hatz will also strengthen its leading role here, as an industry-wide innovator.”

With its new E1 technology, Hatz is bringing small engines into the growing web of digitally connected assets. On this basis, Dierkes will continue to expand the company’s existing services, as well as adding digital services to them. These will include the expansion of Hatz’s small parts for digital documentation, connected services for the integration of machines in Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things, and an online shop for the replacement and maintenance of parts.

“It’s important to us that our services are not just available to our business partners and machine operators in times of acute need. We want to provide active support for our customers across the entire lifecycle of a machine, so as to ensure and increase the added value of their investment,” said Dierkes.
