Media Access Solution’s new KCB scissorlifts being delivered to the company in the UK

UK-based media rental specialist Media Access Solutions (MAS) has invested £2.5 million ($3 million) in new access equipment.

The UK-based company has ordered 60 new JCB electric scissors up to 14m and 14 Niftylift hybrid booms up to 28m, including 5 HR28 Hybrids. The company also ordered a JLG 1250 articulated ultra boom.

Tim Kendall Bastock, MAS managing director, said, “We trialled the JCB scissors last summer when they came to market and our clients couldn’t be happier with them, from a reliability point of view and our management team for how professional, thorough and hassle free JCB finance are to deal with.”

According to Bastock the most common machines being driven around UK media studios are Niftylift booms, which it said are utilised for their build quality and back-up support. The company said the manufacturer’s HR28 Hybrids were among its busiest rental models due to their 280kg unrestricted SWL.

MAS said it selected the JLG 1250AJ ultra boom to round out its purchase due to its 19.24m outreach and its extra capacity SWL provided by the unit
