The Moni Power Station ceased commercial operation in 2013

RVA will act as EAC’s representative in safeguarding EACs obligations in respect to national legislation and of the management of the safe, environmentally sound, timely and cost-efficient execution of the project.

This will include independent expert support covering planning, tender preparation, engineering services and project management.

The Moni power plant, situated 20 km east of Limassol, started operation in the mid-1960s but was taken out of commercial use in 2013.

An international tender procedure to select a dismantling demolition contractor for this turnkey project is expected next month, with the contract award due to follow in October.
