Alessandro Fagioli INDEX

Alessandro Fagioli 1938 – 2020

ICST regrets to report the death of Alessandro Fagioli, president at Italy-based international heavy lift and transport specialist Fagioli.

His father started the company in the 1950s, transporting all kinds of goods, including livestock. By 1960 the company had six trucks and was adding two more new ones each year. Later in the decade the first semi-trailers joined the fleet.

One of Alessandro’s first jobs was to transport a boiler and then, in 1965, an important historic bronze bell, which helped give the company some prestige. Its reputation spread from central Italy through the north and then throughout the country.

Alessandro’s motto became “Technology moves the world.” The company today is one of the largest in the world in its field.

Alessandro Fagioli, 26 August 1938 – 22 March 2020.
