Today we are announcing the shortlists for the World Demolition Awards.

This is the trio contesting the award for Explosive Demolition.

  • Alford Technologies/Delta Group (United Kingdom/Australia) – for the Hazelwood Power Station chimneys demolition project
  • Jet Demolition (South Africa) – for the controlled demolition of the Bank of Lisbon building in central Johannesburg
  • Precision Demolition (United Kingdom) – for the demolition of the multi-storey car park in a town centre environment in Barnsley in the north of England.

The World Demolition Awards take place on Thursday 12 November and are organised by Demolition & Recycling International in co-operation with the European Demolition Association and the National Demolition Association of the USA.
