Sarens has been operational in Zambia since 2018. The market offers growth opportunities for the heavy lift and specialised transport sector. The Zambian government has always encouraged foreign investment and multinational companies to invest in the local market. The Copperbelt area in Central Africa, situated at the border region between northern Zambia and the southern Democratic Republic of Congo is known, as its name reveals, for copper mining.

Although Sarens has been working in the Copperbelt area previously, it has mainly been on a project by project basis. The new depot in Chingola will establish Sarens’ permanent presence in the area. With our depot as a springboard, we will be able to efficiently and quickly cater to clients in a 300km radius.

Sarens, with its global experience of more than 60 years, will be able to provide clients with benefits like exceptional SHEQ standards, a high-quality fleet of equipment, competitive pricing, and locally-employed crane operators.

The depot, with equipment ranging from 20T to 800T and a well-experienced team, will be catering to the rental, maintenance, and shutdown needs of the clients, deploying additional equipment and local workforce as per individual project needs. The depot will also be offering engineering services, including rigging studies, and method statements along with SHEQ safety standards and compliance. The depot will be serving small and big projects in the area.

Clients interested in working with the new branch should contact: Levy Mulao, Key Account Manager, at +260 760390044, +260 97 0185729, or levy.mulao@sarens.com.
