Atlas Copco launches the new BG concrete trowels at IRE.

Atlas Copco will launch a new range of BG concrete walk behind power-trowels at IRE.

The BG trowel range comprises diameters between 615 to 1020 mm, starting with the BG240 edger, the BG370 and the electric BG Combi with a 2-in-1 capacity.

Atlas Copco said the focus for the new generation trowels is ease of operation, reliability and safety. The trowels have a belt driven clutch, and by releasing the dead man's handle, the belt clutch immediately stops the blades from spinning.

The trowels have height-adjustable handles with easy control of both speed and blade angle, and for reliability, says Atlas Copco, "the units are equipped with a robust high quality gearbox and a Honda petrol engine."

Alongside the trowels, Atlas Copco will show compaction plates, the recently launched TEX PE pneumatic hammer range, the Cobra Pro petrol breaker, and handheld hydraulic breakers.

Also on show will be the new, compact XAS 27 compressor, the versatile QAS range of generators, and the WEDA submersible pump line, said to be "one of the most cost-effective pump ranges worldwide."
