US supplier of dust suppression equipment Dust Control Technology, has introduced a range of tower mounts for its Dustboss atomiser equipment to provide a longer hang and range of water particles that also results in more precise aiming. This results in superior particle suppression and prevents dust from migrating off site. The new towers have been designed specifically to address ongoing operations that generate dust in fixed locations.

According to DCT general manager Laura Stiverson: ""The tower mounts can deliver a focused mist to the areas where dust is created. This allows the DustBoss units to concentrate virtually their entire output directly to the source of the problem."

Currently, three sizes of tower are available - a 15 cm (6 in) base tube is used for heights up to 4.6 m (15 ft), a 20 cm (8 in) tube is used for greater elevations and a 25 cm (10 in) heavy duty design is available for heights up to 6 m (20 ft). All the new towers have been designed to withstand wind loads of at least 160 km/h (100 mph).
