Leighton Asia, part of the Australian Cimic Group, has won a US$278 million contract for the expansion of Hong Kong International Airport.

The firm will deliver the Terminal 1 annex building, as well as working on the expansion of the terminal’s parking facilities.

The new terminal building will have seven storeys and include check-in counters, baggage carousels, departure security screening channels and departure and immigration facilities.

The project is expected to run until 2019.
