The World of Concrete Europe event planned to be held in Paris, France, next month, will now be held as part of the Intermat show in April 2018.

The first such event was held during the most recent Intermat in 2015, and Intermat’s organisers, Comexposium, said that World of Concrete Europe would remain “an independent event within the event”.

Comexposium said that the challenging economic environment affecting construction and public works professionals had “impeded the mobilisation of the concrete sector” and acted as a brake on its members’ engagement in the event.

It added, however, that major industry names had already pledged their support for the next event.

The programme of talks and roundtables on the theme “the contribution of concrete to new collective challenges” which had been prepared for World of Concrete Europe will be maintained. An education forum will offer a series of talks and workshops dedicated to the concrete sector, the material and its range of applications.

Intermat is due to be held from 23 to 28 April, 2018, at the Parc des Expositions, Paris Nord Villepinte, France.
