Prillaman’s Crane expands fleet with LTM 1300-6.2

The Liebherr mobile and crawler cranes team joined the Prillaman family in an on-site handover of the LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane.

Virginia, USA-based Prillaman’s Crane & Rigging has added a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane to its growing fleet, marking the company’s largest Liebherr acquisition to date.

“We chose the 1300 because it erects the same as the other Liebherrs in our fleet,” said Paul Prillaman, president. “It will be easy for our employees to make this new transition since it transports and assembles similarly.”

Prillaman’s Crane & Rigging, founded in 2007, began as an extension of a family tree care business. Over three generations, the company now offers crane rental, rigging, heavy hauling, equipment storage and NCCCO training across Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina.

The new Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 features a drive concept with a single engine powering both the undercarriage and superstructure via a mechanical shaft. This reduces maintenance costs and increases lifting capacity.

Prillaman celebrated the delivery as a milestone for both his family-owned business and Liebherr’s legacy. “The photo of our family with the new crane reflects three generations of Prillaman’s,” he added.
