XCMG has used Bauma 2022 - currently taking place in Munich, Germany, to reveal what it claims is the first electric powered telescopic handler to be launched by a Chinese equipment manufacturer.

The XC6-2506E electric telescopic handler weighs 5.3 tonnes and has a maximum lifting height of 6 metres.

The XC6-2506E machine is one of 39 different equipment models - specifically designed for the European construction market - on display at the company’s 1,824-square-metres exhibition area (it’s largest ever stand).

XCMG’s exhibition area also features ten electric powered aerial work platforms from its fire-fighting safety equipment range.

According to XCMG, its newly-released equipment models have the advantage of a large-capacity battery, quick charging times, and zero carbon emission.

Additional machines on show under the company’s ‘Innovation for Green’ event theme include the electric XE35UE compact excavator, the electric XC918-EV loader and the counterbalanced XCB-LW35 electric forklift.
