Hiab claims its new ToolXChanger coupling unit will allow operators to change tools on truck-mounted cranes in less than 30 seconds. Engineered in two parts, the upper is attached to the crane via a standard rotator with flange, while the lower part is attached to each of the operator's tools. Hydraulic and mechanical connections are made automatically and at the same time, which shortens the time needed to change from one accessory to another. ToolXChanger is also configured with a “safe lock” device, which prevents the tool from being released by mistake.
