AEM updates Digger Derrick safety manual

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has updated its Digger Derrick safety manual with new and expanded content on safe equipment operation, start-up and shutdown and maintenance precautions.

The AEM Digger Derrick safety manual features key terms for calculating load capacities when using a digger derrick for lifting operations. Information on lifting, pole setting and digging operation as well as personnel platform, such as aerial work platforms and persnnel baskets, safety is included. There are also updated safety symbols and pictograms plus a cleaner format.

AEM manufacturer members working through the association’s Manufacturers of Aerial Devices and Digger Derricks Council (MADDDC) Engineering Committee provided content development and review.
