AFI introduces live delivery tracking

The AFI group of companies has rolled out live tracking on all its UK delivery and collection vehicles in a move to provide further efficiencies for its MEWP hire customers.

Over recent years AFI has invested in its transport fleet to take full control of every aspect of the delivery and collection process. Efficiency has been improved by strategically locating the vehicles throughout the company’s UK depots to ensure prompt delivery and collection.

Complementing this, the new live tracking offering is available to customers in the AFI Online Portal. Donna Hall, group services director, at AFI, said, “With just a few clicks through their online portal, customers will be able to see the delivery status of their MEWP hire instantly. This new feature allows AFI customers to accurately plan their resources to ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery or collection; and enables us to improve our response times.”

On delivery and collection, AFI customers will benefit from a live accurate visualisation on a map of where the delivery truck is located, information on how many jobs away the delivery truck is, and photos of the delivery and collection once completed.

The live tracking will be available to all AFI customers, including those of truck and track mounted platforms.
