Alatas has been awarded a three year crane operations and maintenance contract with Ithaca Energy.

The company said this will strengthen its presence in the North Sea. Alatas will provide crane operators, maintenance, engineering, repairs and parts supply for six assets, including the Captain platform and FPSO, and the Alba Northern installation.

David Spink, Alatas engineering and operations manager, said, “The award of the Ithaca contract is a significant achievement for Alatas and demonstrates the value of our experience in crane integrity management and our commitment to develop partnerships with our clients to bring value to crane maintenance and operations.

“This award builds on existing established contracts in the UK and Netherlands and comes in addition to three other new contracts over the last 12 months across the UK, Asia and Africa meaning Alatas now maintains over 300 cranes for our oil and gas clients.”
