Amrit Cranes adds 300 tonne Grove

Amrit Crane Service, a rental company based in Gujarat, India, has purchased a new Grove GMK6300L from Manitowoc’s Indian dealer TIL.

The new all terrain crane has a 300 tonne capacity and an 80 m, seven-section full power boom.

The order, due for delivery later in 2013, follows a previous order from Amrit Crane for two used 50 tonne capacity GMK3050s from TIL, which has been selling more used Grove cranes as alternatives to new units following the 2008 financial crisis. Amrit Crane also purchased a 220 tonne capacity GMK6220L from the Indian Manitowoc dealer in 2011. Amrit’s fleet has since expanded to include five used Grove cranes.

Commenting on the order, Amrit founder and owner, Narinder Singh, said, “I have become a loyal customer of Grove cranes and will continue to buy them from TIL as long as they are happy to sell to me. I’m so impressed with the performance of the used Grove cranes that I am confident sending them to any job site to perform efficient and reliable work. I look forward to adding the new crane to our growing business.”

All used cranes supplied by TIL are inspected and certified before delivery. Most of the used cranes being sold in India were owned by contractors who purchased them for specific projects, which have now finished, the company said.
