The G300B grapple range from Cat Work Tools has been upgraded to maximise productivity and minimise downtime

Caterpillar Work Tools has announced the introduction of an upgraded line of Multifunctional Demolition and Sorting grapples in the shape of the G310B, G315B, G320B and the addition of a recycling version of the G325B for hydraulic excavators. The G310B and G315B are also now offered with CW quick coupler hinge plates fixed to the upper head, eliminating the need of a mounting bracket and a lower build-up height to improve matching to a wider range of machines.

The grapples also feature improved shell reinforcement design, Countersink bolt-on cutting edge bolts and a load holding valve for improved safety during operation.

According to Cat Work Tools commercial manager Dave Becktel: "With the introduction of the improved G300B series grapple, Caterpillar is taking grapple performance to new levels while helping contractors fully leverage their cost effective demolition, sorting and loading jobs. We believe the grapple improvements will continue our leadership position as a global excavator and wheel loader attachment supplier."

Cat Work Tools has also announced the introduction of the Performance Series of buckets that have been designed for use on the company's 966K, 972K and 980K wheeled loaders, which in the near future will become available for other K Series models. The new buckets feature a number of new and improved features that have been designed to maximise productivity, including improved material flow into the bucket and retention in the carry position. Three bucket types are available in the Series: Material Handling, General Purpose and Rock.

In addition, the three new breakers manufactured at Cat's new Tulsa factory that were launched at the beginning of this year will now be available in the EAME marketplace through Caterpillar Work Tools BV.
