Communicating rental’s ‘green’ credentials

Following the launch of the European Green Deal and in light of the need to transition to a more sustainable economy, the ERA has developed a ‘toolkit’ for communicating the sustainable benefits of renting construction equipment.

Era

The toolkit is based on the ERA’s ‘Carbon Footprint of Construction Equipment’ study and the subsequent communications campaign launched by the ERA in February this year.

The primary goals of this campaign were to increase demand for equipment rental as a sustainable business practice and promote a policy environment that encourages equipment rental as a best practice.

Although this campaign was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ‘green recovery’ from this period presents an opportunity to restart communications focusing on both the economic and environmental benefits of rental.

With this in mind, the ERA has taken this opportunity to share with its rental members the toolkit for communicating the sustainable benefits of the rental industry. The toolkit was developed with input from members of the ERA’s Sustainability Committee.

If you are a rental company or that you are interested in receiving the Communication toolkit, please contact the ERA team, at era@rarental.org.
