Compact Power Equipment Services (CPES), which offers rental services at 280 Home Depot sites in North America, has partnered with Terex Construction to add tracked loaders, skid steers and mini excavators to its product range.

Compact Power mainly rents the Boxer mini skid steers as well as a range of groundcare and landscaping equipment, but since earlier this year has been adding Terex PT-30 and PT-50 compact track loaders, TSR50 skid steer loaders and TC16 compact excavators to its range.

CPES chief executive officer Roger Braswell said the partnership with Terex would be important as it expands its business at Home Depot stores; "Our goal is to open an additional 300 Compact Power Equipment Centers in the future."

"This is an exciting opportunity for Terex," said John Poag, director for rental, government and remarketing at Terex Construction. "We are pleased to have the Terex brand presented to customers alongside such well-known, reputable brands as Compact Power Equipment Centers and The Home Depot."

In September Compact Power said it planned to raise up to C$25 million (US$25.2 million) by floating on the TSX-Venture Exchange in Toronto, Canada. The majority of the funds will be used to expand its Home Depot rental operations.
