The European Investment Bank has approved a €152 million loan to support the extension of the existing metro line in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine.

The line will be extended by 4km with the addition of three stations, extending the metro network to the city centre.

The total investment for the project is €305 million, and the EIB said the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development was co-financing the extension.

The project is expected to be completed by 2018.
