ERA organises rental events during Intermat

02 February 2012

The European Rental Association (ERA) is organising a series of rental events during the Intermat exhibition in April, including two round-table sessions on the Tuesday afternoon and visits to local rental depots on the Wednesday of the show.

Intermat said that space for both the round-tables and the depot visits is limited, so it is essential for visitors to book their place in advance. This can be done at the Intermat website: click here to register. (Alternatively, go to the 'Events' section of the Intermat website.)

The round-table sessions will be held on Tuesday 17 April from 3.00pm to 5.00pm in rooms 501-503 in the mezzanine level of Hall 5A. The first will be between rental companies and contractors, focusing on the long term trends in rental, and the second will be a dialogue between rental companies and equipment manufacturers.

The ERA has already organised a number of high profile speakers, including:

First round-table
Gérard Deprez, President, Loxam
Michel Ducasse, Chief Technical Resources, Eurovia
Neil Stothard, Group Managing Director, VP Plc
Contractor representatives to be confirmed.

Second round-table
Vesa Koivula, CEO, Cramo
Peter Schrader, Managing Director, Zeppelin Rental
Alain Rozas, President, FICIME
Manufacturer representatives to be confirmed.

The meeting will start with an introduction by Jean-Noël Onfield, Editor at Chantiers de France, who will report on how contractors are changing their policies on equipment procurement. The roundtable sessions, to be moderated by Murray Pollok, Editor of International Rental News (IRN), will be followed by a drinks reception.

On the following day, Wednesday 18 April, between 3.00pm and 5.00pm the ERA has organised visits to Loxam and Kiloutou depots close to the Intermat exhibition centre. The Loxam location is in Aulnay-sous-Bois and the Kiloutou branch is at Goussainville.

Shuttle buses for the branch visits will leave from the Esplanade Hall 1 at 3.00pm.

The Intermat exhibition takes place in Paris from Monday 16 April to Saturday 21 April.
