Genie has redesigned its Super-Straddle attachment for the Super Series aerial work platforms to comply with new ANSI and CE standards

Genie's Super Straddle, an attachment which allows a personnel lift to be used in areas which would otherwise be inaccessible, has been redesigned to meet the latest ANSI A92.3 standards and CE compliance. Super-Straddle lets operators mount a Genie Super Series aerial work platform over obstacles such as fixed seating in theatres.

Designed to be easy to assemble and operate, the new Super-Straddle weighs 274 kg (580 lb) and provides up to four feet of vertical clearance from the ground. The end frames adjust for levelling on floors with slopes up to 60.

"The Super-Straddle is a versatile efficient accessory for facilities such as schools and churches," said Kim Williams, senior market analyst at Genie Industries, "It allows easy overhead access for maintenance like changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling panels and even for touching up paint."

The Super-Straddle is compatible with all Genie Super-Series models (20S, 25S, 30S, 36S and 40S).
