ITC: Wolffkran CEO on lessons from the Grimsel dam project

Duncan Salt, Wolffkran CEO, will use his ITC conference presentation on 2 December to discuss the company’s work on the Spitallamm Dam on Lake Grimsel in the Swiss Alps.

The company is supplying two Wolff 1250 B luffing jib cranes for the construction of the replacement Spitallamm dam at Lake Grimsel, working with construction consortium ARGE Grimsel.

The presentation will use the example of the project to discuss “making the right choices” in tower crane selection.

Salt was appointed CEO at Wolffkran Holding AG in 2019 following a long career in construction and tower cranes.

He has a degree in mechanical engineering and started in the construction industry with UK-based contractor Laing O’Rourke. In 2005 Salt started in tower cranes, as Select Plant Hire general manager, in the Lifting Solutions division.
