Indian bridge collapse kills workers

Up to 40 labourers are feared to have died after a bridge under construction over the River Chambai, near the town of Kota in Western India collapsed.

Rescuers have already recovered 12 bodies from the river and believe there is little hope of finding any survivors.

The bridge is being built by South Korea's Hyundai Engineering and Gammon India and local police have arrested two project managers. The Indian government has ordered an investigation into the events surrounding the collapse.
