Keestrack drum screens open up recycling

25 October 2016

To extend its offering in screening technology Keestrack joined forces with a European specialist in wheeled drum screen solutions, launching four trailer versions, with transport weights from 11 to 24 t.

Now the Keestrack D6 track mobile drum screen – introduced at Bauma 2016 – is offering optimised transport dimensions and high production rates. The company says the 19 t product with 5.5 m (18 ft) drum screen ensures trouble-free low bed transport, quick set-up times and is easy deployable on site.

Large crawler tracks allow quick positioning and operation of the Keestrack D6 even on difficult ground with a fully extended main and side conveyor.

With around 80 t stockpile capacity, this allows for economical one-man operation by the operator. A reinforced belt feeder leads the material into the drum screen and a load monitor automatically adjusts the feeding speed. Discharge speed of oversize and fine fraction conveying can be controlled manually.

The plant is run via a user friendly on-board control panel with an optional remote control for all essential functions. Settings include sequential start/stop-function or the “EcoMode” function to reduce the speed of the 3.4-litre Deutz diesel engine (74.4 kW) during loading breaks.

To quickly adapt the Keestrack D6 to changing materials or properties (moisture, contamination) the drum with eight roller supports and double-pinion drive can be changed in only 30 minutes.
