A Liebherr heavy lift crane has completed an overload test at a port in Germany.

The BOS 35000 lifted 1,100 tonnes, which is 110 % of its maximum lifting capacity, the company said.

The crane offers a maximum boom length of 102 metres. It will be used for reconstruction work on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.

The heavy lift crane is installed on the Caballo Marango, a support vessel in the port of Rostock, Germany and will work for the Mexican service company Oceanografia.
