Mick George will complete the demolition woarks which are described as particularly complex

The project run by the Martin Property Group will see 46 apartments and two new retail units created, all of which will be supplemented by the enhanced gateway entrance to the 14,864 sq m (160,000 sq ft) shopping centre.

The scheme in its entirety is due for handover April 2020.

Managing director Michael George said: ”The demolition works are particularly complex due to the near proximity of live working environments and pedestrians passing by.

“We are well versed in operating in similar conditions and can ensure there will be minimal disruption to the local community.

”Using our high-reach plant, we will be able to complete the demolition in the most efficient way, courtesy of the configuration options presented by the equipment.”
