Snorkel has received an order for multiple units of the S27770RT compact rough terrain scissor lift, from a defence customer in South-East Asia. Snorkel cannot give further details, due to the confidential nature of sales into military and defence operations.

This first unit was photographed at Snorkel's Vigo Centre factory in the UK, while on cycle testing prior to shipping. It is powered by a diesel engine and has an olive green special paint scheme.

At only 1.8m wide by 3.4m long, the S2770RT is the most compact model in the Snorkel rough terrain scissor family. Designed for working in confined spaces, such as between buildings, the 4WD machine provides a working height of up to 10.3m, with a safe working load of 580 kg - suitable for four men. Standard features included a 1.2 m roll-out deck extension and hydraulic outriggers with auto-levelling.

The S2770RT is part of the Snorkel S Series, which is replacing the UpRight XRT Series, as part of the company's adoption of the Snorkel name as its unified global brand.
