The new Swing Lift Foldaway 1200 (FV1200) from Penny Hydraulics in the UK is a fully hydraulic 1,200 kg capacity vehicle mounted crane designed for a wide range of load handling applications including service, engineering and deliveries. Compact design, robust construction and light weight ensure the Foldaway 1200 can be installed on a wide range of 3.5 tonne plus commercial vehicles. "This provides reliable and flexible load handling capabilities that reduce or eliminate the need for manual handling, promote productivity and allow operators to comply with health and safety regulations," according to the company.

The hydraulic slew and boom operation is believed to be unique in the one tonne class of vehicle mounted crane, adds Penny Hydraulics.

Maximum lifting capacity is 1,200 kg at 1.5 m with the boom fully retracted, 500 kg at 3.4 m extension, and 250 kg at the full 4 m extension. A wander lead with push button controls enables operators to stay out of the lifting area when handling loads for safety.
