Montreal based hire and rental software provider, Orion Software Inc, has announced the establishment of an Australian subsidiary to be headquartered in Melbourne, Victoria.

"We have been experiencing a growing demand for our flexible software solutions from Australia, New Zealand and Asia" said Shaun Loubser, managing director of the Australian subsidiary, and previously director of customer support at the company's Montreal head office.

"Our physical presence in Australia will serve to strengthen Orion's global reach. Our goal is to provide our current and future customer base in the Australian, New Zealand and Asian markets with an excellent local support and consulting service to go along with our award winning hire and rental management Software solutions."

Orion provides software solutions which are designed for the tool and equipment, scaffolding, event and audio visual industries. Orion said it intends to continue serving the hire and rental market and expand into complementary markets.
