Takeuchi will show its new 3 t TB228 mini excavator, which joins the 5 t TB250 launched earlier this year. The 2990 kg TB228 replaces the TB125 model.

A 17.5 kW Yanmar engine helps deliver performance enhancements of: a greater reach at 4720 mm, a greater dig depth of 2875 mm, and a greater travel speed of 4.9 km/hr.

Other improvements include a bigger, more ‘stylish' cab, which has an MP3 player socket; more mirrors; adjustable seat and armrests; more foot room; and improved control positions. The cab offers 360° visibility, a full-glass door, and a roof window. It provides ROPS, TOPS, and FOPS protection, and the cab tilts up, allowing interior access in less than a minute.
