Gordon Leicester (below left), managing director of Facelift Hire in the UK, with Andy Northwood, managing director of Ascendant Access, in front of the new Ascendant A17/12, a one-sided jacking unit with a maximum outreach of 12 m and working height of 17 m. Mr Leicester told AIthat the big outreach is the major benefit of the machine, giving customers a unit with an equivalent outreach of a +20 m working height unit but without having to pay for the higher working height. Facelift has ordered 15 of the units, mounted on 3.5 t GVW Iveco trucks. The machine will be shown by Facelift at the SED show in May and by Ascendant at the Access Days event near Milton Keynes on the same three days.
