First to the starting blocks is the UK’s Institute of Demolition Engineers, who once again returns to the Royal Armouries venue in Leeds for its annual Spring Seminar on February 27, 2015. Long a favourite venue for the Institute, the Armouries will see a full speakers’ programme at this, one of the UK industry’s most popular demolition events. Conformed speakers to date in Leeds are as follows.

Sean Heron from Worsley Plant Ltd will take as his topic Demolition & Crushing Case Studies; Bruce Sutherland from Aspire Safety Ltd who will cover Asbestos in Soil; Jason Anker MBE speaking on Proud 2b Safe; James Flitton of Campbell Associates Ltd speaking on Managing Sound & Vibration on Demolition Sites; Claire Donovan from the The Royal Academy of Engineering, whose topic will be Universe of Engineering Report; Richard Yarwood from ECY Haulmark will take on the theme of Safe and Correct Use of Attachments in Demolition; and finally Amanda Rosewarne from The CPD Standards Office, whose topic will be Demolition CPD – Where are we now and where are we going?

The IDE says that other speakers will join this lineup over the course of the next month and the best way to keep updated is to take a look at www.demolitionengineers.net every so often.
