SafeWorks, LLC has announced David Beckett is the company's new vice president and general manager for its Spider brand. Beckett will be based in Chicago and will report to directly to SafeWorks’ CEO Scott Farrell.
Beckett comes to SafeWorks after working with Otis Elevator Company, a unit of United Technologies Corporation. During his 26-year tenure with Otis, Beckett held multiple roles including general management of sales and operations in Seattle and New York City. Most recently he served as Otis’s regional vice president of new elevator sales and service, covering 12 states.
Beckett held P&L accountability for sales, installations and aftermarket services created by 21 business units and more than 1,000 employees, generating sales in excess of $400 million annually.
“David’s experience working for a global leader in the commercial elevator industry will present an excellent foundation for leading the Spider business,” said Farrell. “We look forward to his leadership, ideas, and contributions to Spider’s North American rental and sale operation.”
