JCB employees celebrate the €0.6m order from Netherlands rental company Bo-Rent.

Netherlands rental company Bo-Rent has ordered £0.5 million (€0.6 million) worth of JCB light compaction equipment.

The order, which is the largest ever for JCB's new Light Equipment division, is for 290 machines, including rammers and forward and reverse vibratory plates.

JCB sales operations director Chris Spring said; "This represents the single largest deal to date for JCB light equipment and it is testament to the high quality and robustness of our products that one of Europe's leading hirers has placed this order."

Bo-Rent is one of the largest rental companies in the Netherlands. It has 65 depots in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg and employs more than 350 people.

JCB's Light Equipment division recently began manufacturing at the £7 million (€8.3 million) JCB Attachments factory in Uttoxeter, UK. The UK manufacturer hopes to build its presence in a market valued at £250 million (€295 million) annually and where almost 130000 units are sold every year.

The range is produced under the JCB Vibromax brand and includes 15 vibratory plate compactors, reversible plate compactors and rapid blow tampers.
