The transport team navigate round some tight corners in France

Transport company Van der Vlist moved two wood burning boilers and one gas boiler from Venlo in Limburg, Netherlands, to Besançon in Eastern France.

The largest of the three boilers weighed 60.5 tonnes and measured 10.5 metres long, 4.07 m wide and 4.38 m high. To transport the trailers to Besançon Van der Vlist used modular trailers. For the gas boiler, 6-axle vessel bridge trailers and an 8 axle vessel bridge trailer was used.

Challenges during the task included navigating round tight corners in France. The roads were particularly challenging around the village of Vallerois-Lorioz, a company spokesperson said.

During the transportation of the boilers escort vehicles accompanied the team until they reached Besançon.
