The latest crane models from China's top manufacturers will be on show

The inaugural ConExpo Asia show takes place in Beijing, China, next month. Organised by the US-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), the Transport Technology Exchange Center (TTEC) and the Ministry of Communications, People's Republic of China, the show will run on a triennial cycle.

Organisers are expecting up to 25,000 visitors to attend the show, which takes place in a 16,000 m2 area containing some 200 exhibitors, 40% of which are Chinese companies. At the time of writing in late March there were still some exhibitor spaces available.

Some of the international exhibitors that will be of interest to the lifting and specialized transport sector include Manitowoc Crane Group, Terex, Pinguely Haulotte and Rayco Wylie.

But it is the Chinese manufacturers that could be of most interest to international visitors. As the Chinese construction equipment manufacturing industry steps up its export campaign, the latest offerings from the two major players - XCMG and Guangxi Liugong - will be on show. Other large Chinese crane manufacturers also showing include Foton Heavy Machinery, Zoomlion, Shaanxi Construction Equipment and Zhejiang Fenghua Ningdong Engineering Machinery Co.

Also at the show is KHL Group, publisher of International Cranes and Specialized Transport, sister publication American Cranes & Transport and six more construction industry-related titles, including the recently launched International Construction China. •
